Do the six people need to live together?
Microsoft's terms ask that Family members are in the same household, but they can live in different locations. Each person gets their own Microsoft account — nothing is shared between them.
Can every family member install Office on multiple devices?
Yes. Each of the six people can install Office on as many devices as they like and stay signed in on five at a time. That's up to 30 active devices across the household.
Is the 6 TB shared or split?
Split. Each family member has their own private 1 TB of OneDrive — nobody can see anyone else's files unless they choose to share a folder.
How fast is delivery?
Most Family licenses are delivered within a few business hours. The plan owner adds the other family members whenever they're ready.
